Anki Flashcards Linux Mint

I recently came across Anki as a way to create flashcards from notes. Its useful for studying for certs or books that you want to remember better. I’m still a newbie to the software but the little bit I’ve used it has been great.

Anki will appear in the software manager repository in Linux Mint but if you try and install it the program may fail to launch.

After doing some troubleshooting and googling I came across a fix, simply open up the terminal and run this command:

sudo apt-get install python3-distutils

After that launch Anki again and it should run for you. You can then get started on creating your first deck:
